Wine Review: This wine was my second favorite wine at this year’s trade tasting of wines from Portugal. This very dark ruby colored wine opens with an inviting blackberry and licorice like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth, elegant, and very well balanced. It displays delicious ripe cherry flavors with a touch of licorice. The finish is very dry and its well managed tannins are nicely prolonged. This very food friendly wine would be a perfect match for filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
