Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Riesling from SA Prum is a steal. This was my favorite offering from the recent group of wines that I reviewed with Raimond Prum. This wine opens with a fresh light lemon like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, creamy, and very nicely balanced. It shows off rich and deliciously sweet lemon like flavors with a touch of tangerine present as well. The bottom wine is this offering is a fantastic dessert wine for those that enjoy Auslese level Rieslings. The finish is nicely refreshing and nicely prolonged. Drink this wine as a dessert or take Raimond’s advice and enjoy it with duck breast with an orange sauce. Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Gold. Highly aromatic, with scents recalling cantaloupe, sweet apricot and mineral. Medium-bodied, complex and refined, with rich fruit flavors underscored by nuances of mineral and slate. Outstanding as an aperitif or matched with pâtés, cheeses, roast turkey, duck breast and Asian cuisine.
