Wine Review: This entry level Chard from Chateau St. Michelle is Very Good for a high volume offering. It is a light yellow colored wine and opens with a light oak and lemon like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with slightly creamy lemon and vanilla oak flavors. The finish is dry and subtle. This wine would pair well with wood plank broiled trout. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: "My goal with the Columbia Valley Chardonnay is to make it a pleasurable, food-friendly Chardonnay. This 2007 bottling is a fresh, soft Chardonnay with bright sweet citrus fruit character with subtle spice and oak nuances. I blend Chardonnay grapes from vineyards all over the Columbia Valley to make this a complex, interesting wine. The sur lie aging gives it an appealing softness." - Bob Bertheau, Head Winemaker
