Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with an attractive lemon tea like bouquet with a hint banana noted as well. On the plate, this light bodied wine is quite zesty. Its flavor profile is a tart lemon with notes of lime, tea, and minerality. The finish is dry and herbal. In our blind tasting, many of panel members thought this wine was from New Zealand. It was definitely made in a similar style. The panel felt this wine would pair well with sharp cheeses or Thai food. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This bottling seems especially fruit-driven which we speculate is due to the vintage as the wine is from the same two fields and was farmed the same way as prior years. The last time we harvested Sauvignon Blanc this ripe was a decade ago in 1997. This 2007 bottling is a standout with passionate full flavors. We realized that the passion fruit aromas and flavors in our 2007 Sauvignon Blanc were unmistakable. It is a seductive flavor; a yin-yang of ripe tropical fruits and bracing acidity. The flamboyant passion fruit was obvious but as the tastings progressed the wine revealed a rainbow of fruit flavors: lime, melon and fig.
