Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah opens a fragrant blueberry bouquet with a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and red currant blend with a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity lingers for quite a while. This Syrah would pair well with braised pulled pork sliders. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Syrah displays complex notes of dark ripe fruit, graphite, and lush spicy oak on the nose, followed by a rich, thick, decadent mouth feel. This wine is full bodied with a lengthy finish. We suggest enjoying this wine over the next four to six years with roast beef, venison or charcoal grilled steak.
