Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah opens with cigar box, black currant, and mild Slim Jim bouquet with hints of red cherry and espresso. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity that mellows with some aeration. The mouthfeel is bright and fresh. The flavor profile is red currant and black raspberry blend with notes of cranberry, cedar, and stony minerality. We also detected a hint of black tea. The finish is rather dry, and its dusty tannins linger. The Tasting Panel would decant this Syrah before pairing it with a veal chop or veal osso buco. Enjoy – KWGTP
