Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a very attractive mulberry, blueberry, vanilla oak bouquet with a hint of black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced stewed plum with notes black olive and mulberry. I also detected hints of black currant and dried cherry towards the end. The finish is dry and its tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this Chilean Cab with steak tips. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This 2016 Alcance Cabernet Sauvigon is a true reflection of the two appellations from which it hails: the freshness imparted from the Maule grapes harmonizes beautifully with the superb structure of the Maipo fruit. This wine has a truly elegant approach and a silky concentration from start to finish. An almost austere nose of dark berries, cassis and a hint of oak gives way to a fullness on the palate and firm, chalky tannins that give this wine its unique personality.
