Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark red colored Gamay from the Brouilly commune in Beaujolais opens with a fragrant and inviting red cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of dried strawberry and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and fresh. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced dried strawberry and cola blend with notes of oolong tea and tobacco. I also detected hints of red cherry and red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Beaujolais with salmon burger. Enjoy - Ken
