Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah opens with a red licorice and black raspberry bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a red licorice and oolong tea blend with notes of crushed stone and red currant. We also picked up some hints of salami and loam. The finish is dry, with subtle dusty tannins. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah a Butcher Boy club steak or a pub burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
