Wine Review: This ruby colored wine from Rioja is mainly made from Tempranillo. It opens with a musty oak and red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of oak. I also detected hints of mild minerality, red plum and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are a bit sticky and linger. This wine would be perfect with a thick and juicy bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deeply colored with brilliant transparency typical of age worthy Rioja Alta wines. A violet-scented nose of red and black fruits is subtly complemented by sweet oak. Firm yet refreshing on the palate, with considerable length. Opens with air.
