Wine Review: This mostly opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet based blend opens with a mild black cherry and oak bouquet with hints of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black currant and oak blend with notes of baking spices, black cherry, and hints of black licorice. The finish is dry and its grippy tannins and a touch of heat show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this very good wine with a Kona coffee encrusted ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: On the Nose: Blueberry layered with red cherry and black fruit with creamy toasted oak On the Palate: Lush blueberry, boysenberry, dark cherry that flow in layers with currant and spice. The layers of red and black fruit are cascade into firm but sensuous tannic structure that catches you with the soft rich nuances of forest floor and flowing layers of blueberry with hints of black pepper. The silky mouthfeel trails into a creamy oak finish with beach fire lingering smoke. This is a doorway to antiquity and visions of a better day gone by. Drink with meat on the bone and slow roasted winter stews. Keep warm and share the love.
