Wine Review: This straw-colored Champagne from Andre Jacquart displays a lots of fine and medium beaded bubbles. It opens with a lemon and apple bouquet with hints of brioche and dried apricots. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is elegant and creamy. The flavor profile is a lemon verbena and toasted brioche blend with notes of lime, green apple, and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of almond brittle and ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Champagne with be enjoyed by Chard lovers. We would pair it with mini quiche Lorraine appetizers or with a butternut squash ravioli with a brown butter sage sauce. Enjoy – Ken and Mark
