Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah from Andrew Murray opens with a tobacco leaf and mulberry bouquet with hints of black licorice, blueberry, and root beer. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and a little lush. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of blackberry and black pepper with notes of oak and black licorice. I also detected hints of black tea, blueberry, root beer, and a touch of smoked meat. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this great value and food friendly Syrah with marinated grilled steak tips. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: 2022 Syrah Tous les Jours is a quintessential Santa Ynez Valley Syrah. It is simultaneously bold and balanced, rich, and smooth, fruit forward and earthy. It is impossibly dark and full-bodied, without ever going over the top. It is heavily inspired by Northern Rhone Syrah (Hermitage) and Australian Shiraz (Barossa Valley). The aromas and flavors are dominated by black cherry, raspberry, white pepper, forest floor and toasty oak. It is a unique and special expression of Syrah, perfected by us over the past 3 decades. Moreover, it is a style that one can enjoy every day.
