Wine Review: This slightly opaque and medium ruby colored Beaujolais from the Regnie commune opens with a cherry bubble gum and pine resin bouquet with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, soft and round. The flavor profile is cherry bubble gum and green tea blend with notes of earthy minerality, and red plum. We also detected hints of saline. It closes with refined tannins that drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Beaujolais with sauteed chicken with cherries, coq au vin, or with crab meat stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy – KWGTP
