Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay from Anton Stone opens with a chamomile tea and mild pineapple bouquet with hints of pear and linen. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, creamy, and supple. The flavor profile is green apple and Anjou pear blend with notes of chalky minerality, saline, and lemon verbena. We also detected hints of pilsner beer and a touch of pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this Chard with crab cakes or a crab cocktail. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2023 Anton Stone Russian River Chardonnay. (80% stainless steel & 20% new French oak) Russian River Valley is one of my favorite regions for Chardonnay. Rich pear & apple flavors speak in volumes finished with a touch of sexy French oak for added complexity and grace. A stunning example of the terroir of the Russian River Valley. If you like rich opulent Chardonnay this is your wine.
