Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Apollo's Praise in the Finger Lakes region in New York opens with a mild pineapple and Anjou pear bouquet with hints of grapefruit pith and ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, mouthwatering and a tad zesty. The flavor profile is white grapefruit and white peach blend with notes of ginger tea and white pepper. I also detected hints of lemongrass and stony minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this dry-styled Riesling with a grilled swordfish steak. Enjoy - Ken
