Wine Review: This dark brick red blend is earthy on the bouquet and includes scents of dark chocolate, raspberries, oak, black pepper, leather and light toast. This wine has a pleasant balance and straight forward structure. The darkness continues on the medium to full bodied palate that is also smooth and dry. Its flavor profile is dark raspberries, blackberries, dark chocolate with hints of black licorice in the end. The wine finishes with a satisfying dry finish and managed tannins. Sticking with the theme, I would have this pleasant red blend with a plate of Hungarian goulash. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: A majority of the grapes in Apothic Dark were selected from Lodi. Apothic Dark seamlessly integrates flavors of blueberry and blackberry with enticing notes of coffee and dark chocolate for a rich and smooth mouthfeel with layers of texture.
