Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Chardonnay from Arrowood opens with a mild, yet appealing Anjou pear and tangerine bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, elegant and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild oak influenced Anjou pear with notes gentle minerality and hints of almond and cheesecake. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is a lighter and a more food friendly version of the grape. I would pair it with delicate foods like a scallop casserole. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Aromatics of spiced oak, melon and Bartlett pear; palate is lush and layered with lingering acidity and flavors of citrus, ginger and baked apple on the finish.
