Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard opens with an oak and caramel apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is rounded, mouthwatering, and juicy for a Chard. The flavor profile is an oak and caramel popcorn blend with notes of red apple and pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. I would pair this rich Chardonnay with Lucia's butternut squash ravioli with a fresh sage and creamy parmesan cheese sauce.
