Wine Review: This dark red Pinotage from Babylon Peak opens on the nose with a vibrant black cherry, milk chocolate and granddad's pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of smoked meats. It is juicy, full-bodied, smooth and balanced. The nose carries through to the palate. It features flavors of black cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate and cedar. I also detected a hint of blueberry mixed in. This is a big and bold Pinotage with integrated tannins and flavors that drift away nicely. This is a very good Pinotage to introduce to family and friends at your next weekend barbecue featuring grilled steak! - Dave & Julie

Winemaker Notes: Dark red color, with ripe plums and mocha on the nose. Dark fruit followed by spice on the palate. A well-balanced wine with smooth integrated tannins. Pair with lamb or braaied red meat.
