Wine Review: This deep purple colored Shiraz from South Africa opens with a blackberry and black currant bouquet with a hint of beef stick. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a spiced plum and licorice blend with notes of blackberry, herbal tea, beef stick and cedar. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins are nicely extended. This good value South African Shiraz is a good barbecue option. I would pair it with a slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: A classic Shiraz with dark fruit, violets and white pepper. An elegant wine with ripe tannins and a lingering aftertaste. Pairs with rich and creamy meat dishes eg. oxtail and venison.
