Wine Review: This opaque and almost pitch black colored Sangiovese based blend from Toscana is really good. It opens with an inviting black cherry bouquet with a hint of blueberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild blackberry with hints of mild oak, black cherry, and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are a little dusty and stick around for quite some time. This wine is a crowd pleaser and did not last long. It is also very steak friendly and would pair very well with a cowboy ribeye. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color is an intense red, with shades of mauve. The scents are ample and rich, the fruity notes of plums join a slight balsamic aroma, along with perfumes of toasted coffee and tobacco. In the mouth, you immediately feel important, yet soft, structure with the sweetness of the tannins that give it great elegance and a long finish. This wine is well inclined to aging.
