Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Merlot based blend from Virginia opens with a blackberry and black currant bouquet with hints of oolong tea, dark chocolate, and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, zesty, and rich. The flavor profile is blackberry and graphite blend with notes of black tea and dark chocolate. We also detected hints of blueberry, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined polished tannins drift away nicely. This red blend is drinking well right now. We would pair this wine with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy - KWGTP
