Wine Review: The opaque and midnight purple colored Zinfandel from the Sonoma Valley is impressive. It opens with a fragrant and inviting blackberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a very tasty gentle ripe blackberry with notes of blueberry and black raspberry. I also detected hints of Hershey's Special dark chocolate, a touch of molasses and a delicate dose of oak towards the end after the fruit dissipates. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite a while. This Zin would pair perfectly with roasted wild boar. At this point the winery only has magnums left. Order some and have lots of friends over for some boar! Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep, dark color, intense aromas and flavors of red raspberry, black plum and huckleberry, semi-sweet chocolate with a touch of cinnamon, coriander and brown sugar. Lush and round, with the creamy blackberry and blueberry fruit compote flavors lingering through a generous finish. A classic style that is silky, dark and dense yet refined and beautifully balanced.
