Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Benovia won our recent mini-blind tasting. It opens with a blueberry and oak bouquet with hints of coffee, black raspberry and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, smooth and satiny. The flavor profile is a tasty spiced red plum and blueberry blend with notes of cherry vanilla. We also detected hints of mocha, minerality and oak. It closes with its flavors and dry fine-grained tannins leading to an extended and elegant finish. The Panel suggested pairing this wine with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Remarkable aromas of Marion berry, black cherry and boysenberry gives the immediate impression of depth and concentration in the glass. The palate is viscous and rich, yet extremely graceful, with fine-polished tannins and a balanced acidity.
