Wine Review: This pale straw-colored blend from Portugal opens with a fragrant peach and honeydew melon bouquet with a hint of clover honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and fresh. The flavor profile is a mineral infused citrus blend with notes of lemon, clementine and white grapefruit. I also detected hints of nectarine and white pepper mixed in towards the end. The finish is very dry and refreshing. It is a perfect summer wine. I would serve it slightly chilled with swordfish skewers. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Very mineral and citrus, grapefruit, slightly smoky, vibrant acidity with a structure that promises good aging in the bottle. The soul of this wine lies in the unique combination of the Síria and Fonte Cal native grape varieties, from vines planted in purely granite soils with quartz veins, in the Douro River’s hydrographical basin. Excellent with shellfish, fatty fish and cured goat cheeses.
