Wine Review: This very pale yellow offering opens with mild green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is a ripe green apple with a hint of yellow grapefruit on the back palate. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This wine is very approachable and easy to drink. I would pair it with Ritz cracker encrusted scrod. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Bird was almost cooked this year with all of fires raging through the Monterey and Big Sur. We were ready to evacuate the inmates. That coupled with a very long, cool, and dry growing season has led to a very plump Birdman, almost the antithesis of that light and airy Northern Italian cousin. The serious gravitas of this wine permeates all of its characteristics; a bold and weighty nose of citrus fruits, the full palate with touches of grapefruit and melon, strong acidity that balanced and a long, lingering quenching finish. Quite possibly the most unique Pinot Grigio we’ve ever made.
