Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite comes from the Gap’s Crown Vineyard. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of dried herbs and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious plum and mild vanilla-cola blend. We also detected hints of strawberry, and rhubarb. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. I would pair this Pinot with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: We're calling our 2016 Gap's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir a sexy wine, offering exotic perfumed notes, generous mouth-filling flavor and silken texture. The wine opens seductively with dark berry, cherry, sweet vanilla and toast notes that gain hints of molasses and baking spice with air. The concentrated palate delivers a vivid core of cherry pie and dark berry flavors caressed throughout the persistent finish by the very soft tannins. Enjoy upon release of cellar for 4-9 years.
