Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay opens with a vanilla oak and pear bouquet with hints of butter popcorn. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild oak, vanilla, and pear blend with notes of pineapple. I also detected hints of peanut brittle. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair nicely with Emeril’s crab cakes. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The elegance of this wine is stunning. Our 2017 Sierra Mar Vineyard Chardonnay puts all of its mountain-grown character on full display with elevated aromas of white blossoms, green apple, honeysuckle and lemon zest. Mouth-filling notes of apple, pear and white peach emerge on the palate with bright acidity adding a wonderful verve from back of palate through the lingering finish. Enjoy upon release or hold for 3-5 years.
