Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite is very good. It opens with a fragrant raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a crushed stone influenced red plum with notes of dried cherry and nicely integrated oak. I also detected hints of strawberry, vanilla and thyme. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir opens up nicely with some aeration. I would swirl it and enjoy it with a roast pork loin along with potatoes and herbs. Cheers - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Nowhere is the fruit intensity of this vintage more evident than in our 2017 Stony Terrace Pinot Noir. A chorus of vivid black cherry, plum and wild berry notes gain weight and depth on the long, focused palate. Altogether a deeply flavorful and gracefully orchestrated reflection of the vintage. Enjoy upon release or cellar for up to 7-10 years.
