Wine Review: This pale garnet colored Pinot Noir opens with a plum and acai berry bouquet with hints of clove and florals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with bright medium acidity. We also found it to be smooth and having a savory mouthfeel. The flavor profile is gentle plum and black raspberry blend with nicely integrated stony minerality. We also detected hints of pomegranate and nutmeg. The finish is dry and dusty flavors and fine-grained tannins linger nicely for quite some time. The Panel would pair this Pinot with authentic German Jägerschnitzel (Hunter’s Schnitzel with mushroom gravy or veal Milanese. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The most aromatic of all our wines, the 2018 Redwoods' Edge opens with a heady bouquet of wildflowers, rose potpourri, dried cranberry and fraise des bois. On the palate, the wine picks up a delightful wet stone character that provides tension with the rich floral, field fruit and spice notes. All in all, a very concentrated expression of this elevated site, delivering an expansive mouthfeel that melds rich fruit and sweet chocolate notes with buoyant acidity throughout the lengthy finish. Enjoy upon release or cellar for up to 7-10 years.
