Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Black Kite opens with a pineapple and pear bouquet with hints of mango, butterscotch, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy, balanced, bright and clean. The flavor profile is a gentle pineapple and oak blend with notes of Meyer lemon and Anjou pear. We also detected hints of white pepper, chalky minerality, and vanilla. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this very good Chard from the Gap's Crown Vineyard with chicken francese or with a lemon garlic roasted chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
