Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite opens with a black raspberry and Dr. Pepper bouquet with hints of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is tasty black cherry and cranberry blend with notes dried strawberry. We also detected some hints of red plum, clove, and minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a cedar plank salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our third ever Angel Hawk bottling from our Sonoma Coast vineyards could not be denied. There was no question that the barrels comprising our 2021 Sonoma Coast Angel Hawk should stand on their own as a reserve bottling. The wine’s nose hints at the depth to come with exotic notes of mulberry, boysenberry, allspice, and cherry cola. Velvety rich and complex, the mid-palate offers even more textured dark fruit, framed by fine-grained tannins that carry through the notably long and concentered finish. Decant first 18 months following release or lay down for 10-15+ years.
