Wine Review: This slightly hazy and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley opens with a blackberry and chocolate bouquet with hints of black cherry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, juicy, and zesty. The flavor profile is a blackberry and oak blend with notes graphite and cassis. I also detected hints of Australian soft black licorice and black tea. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. This Cab would pair well with grilled steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 vintage offers enticing aromas of blackberry, black currant, cedar, and espresso, leading to a palate rich with ripe black cherry, dark fruit, and subtle cocoa and baking spice flavors. The wine is full-bodied yet approachable, with fine-grained tannins and vibrant freshness, creating a harmonious balance of intensity and elegance. Toasted oak and spice notes are well-integrated, enhancing the wine’s complexity and depth.
