Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc based wine from Blackbird was well-received by the Panel. It opens with a fragrant pomegranate and blackberry bouquet with a hint of eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced and has a juicy mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a graphite and mild blackberry blend with notes of nicely integrated oak. We also detected hints of blueberry, red plum and cranberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors sail away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this wine with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: With a bright approach of blueberry, black cherry, cedar, porcini mushrooms, and mint, the wine shines on the nose of this Cabernet Franc dominant blend. Wonderful richness of violets, plum and chocolate and gives way to tight grain tannins with a supple finish on the palate. This wine is captivating and will continue to develop gracefully with long term aging in the cellar.
