Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Blue Farm opens with a black cherry and pencil shavings bouquet with hints of cola, dried herb, and rhubarb. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is mild cola and black cherry blend with notes of cinnamon and clove. I also detected hints of dark chocolate, loam, and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this very food friendly Pinot Noir with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy – Ken
