Wine Review: This dark red colored Sangiovese based wine from Borgo Scopeto opens with a black cherry and new leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused cedar and plum blend with notes of tart cherry and black tea. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. This is a very good food wine. I would pair it with a cioppino. Enjoy – Ken
