Wine Review: I am a little late to the party on this wine, but it is showing exceptionally well right now. It is opaque and deep purple colored. It opens with a fragrant blackberry bouquet hints of cedar and pencil lead. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, rich and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty blackberry and black currant blend with notes of cedar plank and boysenberry. I also detected hints of graphite and stone dust towards the end. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins and fruit flavors are very nicely extended. This impressive Cab was the owner’s recommendation at Little Alley Steak in Atlanta. It paired perfectly with our prime Ribeye steaks. Enjoy – Ken.

Winemaker Notes: Our 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the essence of Mount Veeder, a beguiling balance of complex, sophisticated aromatics and fruit intensity wed to a core of taut yet silky tannins. Notes of cassis, lingonberry, black cherry, and crushed cocoa come to the fore with hints of violets, thyme, black tea, and kirsch all layer on a bed of velvety tannin.
