Wine Review: This cloudy unfined and unfiltered dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant cranberry and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a black plum and pomegranate mixture with notes of minerality, earthiness and a touch of cranberry. The finish is dry and it has some mild tannins that help it last for a while after its gone. Billed as a summer wine to serve chilled. I enjoyed it both ways. The above review is at room temperature. Slightly chilled it picked up some Beaujolais like qualities and a touch of rhubarb. Either way, I would pair it with a bacon burger off the grill. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The defining characteristic is whole-cluster fermentation (carbonic maceration). We use all native yeast for spontaneous fermentation, all native bacteria for malolactic fermentation, and add no Sulphur throughout fermentation. The goal is a very hands-off approach to winemaking that highlights the purity of fruit, and deliciousness of a lighter-bodied red wine. The result is a fresh, crisp wine, that preferably should be served slightly chilled, which has a back bone of acidity and an unmistakable minerality that leaves your palate wanting more.
