Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa opens with apricot pit and mild grapefruit bouquet with a hint of gun powder. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and zesty. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused tart yellow grapefruit with notes of apricot pit and lime. I also detected hints of white pepper as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. This Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with linguini with clams and a garlic butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
