Wine Review: This opaque and pitch black colored Petite Sirah from Burgess opens with a blueberry and cherry-cola bouquet with a hint of raisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a blueberry and boysenberry blend with notes of gentle oak with hints of licorice and Starbucks coffee. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. The panel suggested pairing it with a sausage and pepper sandwich or teriyaki steak tips. Enjoy - KWGTP
