Wine Review: This light salmon pink colored wine from Buttonwood Grove in the Finger Lakes opens with a light stone dust, maraschino cherry and grenadine bouquet. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a lime and maraschino cherry blend with notes of watermelon, stone dust, and pink grapefruit. I also detected some hints of lemon and grenadine in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would serve this quaffer Rosé slightly chilled on a hot summer day. It will not last long. So, stock up! Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2023 Rosé displays bright acidity and is mouth-wateringly vibrant. It has subtle aromas and flavors of strawberry cream that make it food friendly and ideal for pairing with light appetizers and fresh green salads. Pack a bottle in your picnic basket for a day at the lake. This is the first of our wines to bear the New York State Sustainability Certification trustmark on the label, as our farm received certification during 2023.
