Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Cakebread opens with a poached Bartlett pear and nectarine bouquet with hints of pineapple, banana, and white flowers. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is an oak, lemon, and light pineapple blend with notes of almond and nectarine pit. We also detected hints of banana, tart green apple, flinty minerality, and green tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Chard with pasta carbonara. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Napa Valley Chardonnay is a light golden color, and opens with vibrant aromas of green apple, lemon, and pear accented by hints of white flowers, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with flavors of ripe melon, lemon curd, crème brûlée, and vanilla. Fresh acidity and just-picked citrus flavors are balanced with subtle oak notes, delivering a long, balanced finish across the palate.
