Wine Review: This pale ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a mild black plum and faint strawberry rhubarb bouquet with hints of clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright, vibrant, and savory. The flavor profile is juicy red plum and strawberry blend with notes of red licorice and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of pomegranate and clove. The finish is dry and its flavors and building tannins linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a rack of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: At more than 40 years old, the coveted old vines of Jensen Vineyard have produced a stunning wine that offers depth, elegance, and layered complexity. On the nose, aromas of ripe plum and persimmon flirt with more dramatic black fruit undertones. The palate is lush and mouth-filling, striking a seamless balance between energetic red berry flavors and deeper flavors of black cherry and blackberry that glide to a long, resonant finish.
