Wine Review: This translucent and white gold colored Chardonnay from Calera opens with a fragrant pineapple and ripe Bartlett pear bouquet with hints of oak and Meyer lemon. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and bright. The flavor profile is a lemon and pear blend with notes of tangerine, vanilla, and oak. I also detected hints of ginger and pineapple. The finish is dry and very refreshing for a Chard. I would pair this Chard with chicken picatta. Enjoy – Ken
