Wine Review: The intense bouquet of ripe cherry, clay, chocolate, bay leaf and tobacco of this Tuscan red blend leaps from the glass. It is a translucent deep ruby color. On the palate, it is full bodied, dry, nicely balanced with medium-plus acidity and robust dark fruit. I found flavors of black plum, blackberries, dark chocolate, aromatic black pepper, and mild oak. There are also hints of sage and smoke. Big sticky tannins last for a very long time in the finish. After 30 mins in the glass this wine smoothed out tremendously. A bold wine like this calls for a well-charred Bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine Steak) - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Its deep, dark, and dense color opens the way to explosive aromas characterized by a vibrant balsamic note. On the palate it is velvety and enveloping, with a harmonious and balanced end.
