Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Brunello from Caparzo is very impressive! It opens with a black cherry and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is super-smooth and very well-balanced. The flavor profile a tasty graphite and mild black cherry blend with notes of red plum and loam. I also detected hints of cinnamon, cedar, and dried herbs. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. This Brunello paired perfectly with my beef bourguignon on Christmas Day. Enjoy – KWGTP
