Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Franc from Cape May is made with 80% Cape May fruit and 20% Columbia Valley Washington fruit. It opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, is medium bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild graphite and stewed black plum blend with notes of oak. I also detected some hints of black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are very nicely extended. I would pair this Cab Franc with a seared steak with a dollop of Great Hill blue cheese butter on top. Enjoy - Ken
