Wine Review: This bright straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a lemon bouquet with hints of mild apricot. On the palate, this medium bodied, nicely balanced, delicate, round and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild lemon and green apple blend. I also detected hints of minerality, green tea and saline. The finish is dry and refreshing for a Chard. While the label says barrel fermented, this wine shows very little presence of oak. This Chard is very versatile and food friendly. I would pair this Chard with chicken francese or grilled halibut.
