Wine Review: This light coral colored Merlot Rose from Cape May Winery opens with a mild apricot bouquet with hints of strawberry and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is light lime and stone dust blend with notes of strawberry. I also detected hints of white tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. All who tasted this enjoyed this wine. With food I would pair this refreshing Rose with a mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Crafted from 100% Merlot grown at our Isaac Smith Vineyard, this small-batch rosé falls perfectly between dry and off-dry. Aged for five months in concrete on lees, it opens with a bright nose of melon, fresh strawberry, and a touch of coastal limestone. The palate is fresh and floral, layered with lychee fruit and a vibrant burst of acidity, finishing juicy and textured. Perfectly suited for warm-weather sipping, this wine pairs beautifully with South Jersey summer staples like sweet Jersey corn, tomato and basil salad or freshly caught Cape May scallops.
